We believe that the First United Methodist Church Early Care Center is summoned by God to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by ministering to young children and their families by providing a quality educational program which promotes developmentally appropriate growth: spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively. We welcome families of all races and creeds. |

About Early Care Center
Early Care Center is represented in the National Association for the Education of Young
Children, (NAEYC) and United Methodist Association of Preschools (UMAP). The Early
Learning Coalition of Sarasota County and other local groups provide opportunities for our
staff to attend monthly education training sessions offered within our community.
Our national accreditation with United Methodist Association of Preschoolers requires
that each teacher of two year olds or older be certified To learn more about our individual
staff members click here.

| The Early Care Center utilizes space in the Education Building at 1st United Methodist Church. A chapel service is held weekly for all preschool children attending the Early Care Center. Children learn to respond to God, become aware of their family's religious heritage (whether Christian, Jewish, or other tradition), and grow in self-esteem and their own spiritual beliefs.
